Explore before you specialise
Try a small project in three different disciplines. Notice whether you enjoy making objects, telling stories, working with materials or understanding people. Keep the experiments, including the ones that fail.
Read the curriculum, not just the course name
Look for studio time, foundation studies, technical workshops, electives and how projects are assessed. Similar degree titles can lead to very different learning experiences.
Make an application checklist
For every shortlisted programme, check recognised school qualifications, subject requirements, entrance routes, portfolio requirements and current deadlines on the institution website. Do not assume one exam covers every school.
Plan the whole cost
Ask about tuition, materials, equipment, accommodation and travel. Compare official fee schedules for the same entry year and applicant category.
