Choose a concrete outcome
Define one thing you want to produce or improve: a type layout, an interactive prototype, a material sample or a research plan. Match the course to that outcome.
Separate tool training from design learning
Software tutorials teach operation. A design course should also explain choices, process and critique. Both can be useful, depending on your goal.
Check feedback and access
Find out whether feedback is live, recorded, peer-led or absent. Check equipment, time-zone commitments, access duration, captions and refund terms.
Understand the credential
A completion certificate does not automatically equal a recognised degree or professional qualification. Verify the awarding body and any credit-transfer claim.
